We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established property maintenance contractor for an experienced

Site Manager to join their Repairs & Maintenance team in Rushton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with a background in social housing, property maintenance, planned or reactive repairs who is looking to take the next step in their career with a well-established contractor.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of repairs and maintenance works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, to a high standard and in line with contractual requirements.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for managing the operational delivery of repairs and maintenance works across the contract.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of repairs and maintenance works across Rushton.
  • Supervising and supporting trades operatives and subcontractors.
  • Planning and coordinating workloads to ensure works are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Monitoring productivity, performance and quality across the team.
  • Carrying out regular site and property inspections.
  • Ensuring works are completed to the required specification and quality standards.
  • Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Reviewing and managing programmes of work to ensure contractual targets are achieved.
  • Liaising with the client, residents, operatives and subcontractors.
  • Managing any issues, delays, defects or complaints through to resolution.
  • Monitoring materials, labour and resource requirements.
  • Ensuring appropriate records, paperwork and systems are kept up to date.
  • Managing subcontractor performance and ensuring works are completed to the required standard.
  • Supporting the Contracts Manager with operational reporting and performance management.
  • Monitoring and working towards key KPIs and SLAs.
  • Promoting a strong culture of health and safety, quality and customer service.

About You

We are looking for an experienced

Site Manager with a strong background in repairs and maintenance, ideally within the social housing sector.

You will ideally have

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager, Repairs Manager, Maintenance Supervisor or similar.
  • Experience within social housing, property maintenance or a related construction environment.
  • Experience managing direct labour and subcontractors.
  • A good understanding of general building repairs and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements.
  • Experience working to contractual KPIs and SLAs.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities within a busy operational environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • The confidence to manage performance and challenge poor workmanship where required.
  • Good IT and administration skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, SSSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH or a relevant construction qualification would be advantageous.
