Manage the delivery of electric vehicle (EV) charging hub installation projects, ensuring successful completion in line with client requirements, industry standards, and agreed performance targets. Collaborate with clients, design consultants, internal teams, subcontractors, site operatives, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsible for health and safety, quality assurance, environmental compliance, contract administration, cost control, programme management, stakeholder communication, and people management.
Principal Responsibilities- Health & Safety
- Overall responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ensure all site activities are undertaken in accordance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
- Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are prepared and implemented.
- Carry out regular site safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Provide regular project updates and manage change notifications.
- Ensure sites are organised and maintained to a professional standard.
- Understand project requirements and support the management of variations and valuations.
- Maintain project correspondence, technical queries, and progress reporting.
- Coordinate project handover documentation, including O&M manuals, health and safety files, and as-built records.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and motivate site teams to achieve project objectives.
- Manage workforce attendance, performance, and productivity.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure works meet required standards.
- Support performance reviews and development of site personnel.
- Quality & Compliance
- Monitor quality standards through regular inspections.
- Investigate and resolve non-conformance issues.
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
- Report significant incidents, complaints, or environmental events through the appropriate channels.
- Project Delivery & Environmental Management
- Plan and coordinate labour, plant, and materials to meet programme requirements.
- Monitor project progress and contribute to programme updates.
- Manage material usage and minimise waste.
- Promote recycling and sustainable construction practices.
- Implement environmental protection measures and management plans.
- Operational Excellence
- Implement project-specific quality management systems.
- Maintain current drawings, specifications, and document registers.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with project requirements.
- Carry out pre‑completion inspections to achieve high‑quality, defect‑free delivery.
- CSCS Gold Card (or equivalent).
- SMSTS certification.
- First Aid qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a site supervisory or management role.
- Experience in groundworks, drainage, highways, excavation, and concrete works.
- Knowledge of electrical infrastructure projects desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
- HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent construction‑related qualification.
- Temporary Works Supervisor certification desirable.
- Streetworks or traffic management qualifications desirable.
- Environmental awareness qualification desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction practices and multiple trade disciplines.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and NEC contracts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project administration systems.
- Strong leadership, planning, and organisational skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness and problem‑solving capability.
