Fire Door Foreman – Location: Stoke-on-Trent (School Projects); Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing; Sector: Passive Fire Protection / Education

Construction Resources are recruiting on behalf of a specialist construction contractor seeking an experienced Fire Door Foreman to oversee fire door installation and maintenance works across school projects in the Stoke-on-Trent area.

This is an ongoing opportunity for a hands-on Foreman who is confident leading site teams whilst remaining willing to assist with installations when required.

The Role

You will be responsible for supervising site operations, coordinating trades and ensuring fire door works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate fire door installation teams on site.
  • Manage subcontractors and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Carry out quality inspections and ensure compliance with fire door regulations.
  • Support the workforce with installation works where required.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and to specification.
  • Maintain site records and liaise with project management teams.
  • Promote high standards of health and safety across site.

Requirements

  • Proven experience supervising fire door installation projects.
  • Strong background in passive fire protection or joinery.
  • Confident managing site operatives and coordinating multiple trades.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to assist the team when required.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Joinery
  • SSSTS
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Manual Handling
  • Working at Height
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
