Location: Colchester, Wattisham, Wimbish and Woodbridge
Salary: Up to £41,600 depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

About the Role

Our client is looking for a qualified Electrician to carry out electrical installations, repairs and maintenance across domestic and commercial properties, including occupied properties.

Duties

• Carry out electrical repairs, installations and maintenance

• Complete planned works, including rewires and consumer unit replacements

• Install smoke alarms, fans, shower circuits and other electrical equipment

• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out remedial works

• Complete electrical inspection and testing, including EICRs

• Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and health and safety requirements

• Maintain accurate job records using a PDA or mobile device

• Communicate with residents, clients and colleagues

• Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent

• 18th Edition qualification

• Experience in domestic electrical repairs and maintenance

• Knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations

• Ability to carry out electrical testing and fault-finding independently

• Knowledge of safe isolation and health and safety procedures

• Must hold, or be immediately eligible for, SC security clearance and meet BPSS requirements

• 2391 or 2394/2395 qualification desirable

• Full UK driving licence
