About the Role

Our client is a leading property services and maintenance specialist, delivering responsive repairs, planned works and refurbishment services across the UK. They are currently looking for an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative to join their team working across Swindon and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will have a strong plumbing background alongside experience across other trades, delivering high-quality repairs within occupied residential properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out plumbing repairs including leak detection and hot and cold water systems
  • Work on immersion tanks and bathroom/kitchen installations
  • Complete general multi-trade repairs as required
  • Carry out wall and floor tiling
  • Undertake 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
  • Complete patch plastering and making good
  • Carry out painting and decorating
  • Accurately record completed works using mobile systems
  • Complete risk assessments and follow all health and safety procedures
  • Provide a professional and customer-focused service to residents
  • Work as part of a wider team to ensure repairs are completed efficiently
  • Participate in out-of-hours support or emergency callout rotas when required

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing, or equivalent
  • Valid Unvented Hot Water Systems Certificate
  • Experience working across multiple trades
  • Ability to safely isolate and test electrical components
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own well-maintained tools
  • Previous social housing repairs and maintenance experience
  • Strong health and safety awareness
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, professional and able to work independently
