About the Role
Our client is a leading property services and maintenance specialist, delivering responsive repairs, planned works and refurbishment services across the UK. They are currently looking for an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative to join their team working across Swindon and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will have a strong plumbing background alongside experience across other trades, delivering high-quality repairs within occupied residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out plumbing repairs including leak detection and hot and cold water systems
- Work on immersion tanks and bathroom/kitchen installations
- Complete general multi-trade repairs as required
- Carry out wall and floor tiling
- Undertake 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
- Complete patch plastering and making good
- Carry out painting and decorating
- Accurately record completed works using mobile systems
- Complete risk assessments and follow all health and safety procedures
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service to residents
- Work as part of a wider team to ensure repairs are completed efficiently
- Participate in out-of-hours support or emergency callout rotas when required
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing, or equivalent
- Valid Unvented Hot Water Systems Certificate
- Experience working across multiple trades
- Ability to safely isolate and test electrical components
- Full UK driving licence
- Own well-maintained tools
- Previous social housing repairs and maintenance experience
- Strong health and safety awareness
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional and able to work independently
