My Client is an established and growing contractor delivering electrical, mechanical, security and fire solutions across commercial, industrial and domestic sectors. They work closely with leading suppliers and manufacturers to provide tailored, high-quality solutions to their clients. Due to continued growth and secured long-term work, they are now looking to expand their commercial team.
My Client is seeking an experienced M&E Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing projects for a key long-term client. This is a critical role within the business, responsible for cost management, estimating and commercial control across a range of M&E packages. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and senior stakeholders across both pre- and post-contract stages.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing accurate M&E estimates and tender submissions
- Producing take-offs from drawings and specifications
- Cost planning, budgeting and financial reporting
- Managing variations, valuations and final accounts
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
- Supporting commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle
- Proven experience as an M&E Estimator or Quantity Surveyor
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical building services
- Commercially astute with excellent attention to detail
- Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
