Our client is a leading specialist drywall contractor delivering high-quality CAT A & CAT B commercial fit-out projects across London and within the M25. They work alongside Tier 1 main contractors including Structuretone, Mace, 8 Build, Canary Wharf Contractors, and Lendlease. Projects are typically valued in excess of £1m and span sectors including commercial office, legal, financial, media, technology and retail.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Drylining Design Manager to lead and manage the design process across multiple high-value commercial fit-out schemes. This is a key role within the business, responsible for ensuring technical compliance, coordination and high-quality delivery from pre-construction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full drylining design process
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants and main contractors
  • Review and manage technical drawings and specifications
  • Oversee design development to ensure buildability and compliance
  • Attend design and coordination meetings
  • Provide technical support to project and site teams
  • Ensure programmes and deadlines are achieved

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Design Manager within drylining / drywall
  • Strong knowledge of CAT A & CAT B commercial fit-out projects
  • Experience working with Tier 1 main contractors
  • Excellent technical and coordination skills
  • Strong communication and leadership ability
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
