A well-established and rapidly growing roof tiling contractor with multiple offices across the UK is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team in either Kings Bromley or Stafford. The business delivers high-quality roofing and construction solutions to major national housebuilders and independent developers across the UK. Alongside roofing services, they also provide renewable energy solutions, maintenance support, and landscaping works. With a strong reputation for workmanship and service excellence, they are committed to delivering projects efficiently while maintaining the highest standards.
The Role
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for roofing and associated construction projects. You will be responsible for reviewing drawings and specifications, analysing data, and preparing detailed tenders within required deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing architectural drawings and project specifications
- Measuring and preparing take-offs
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations
- Gathering and analysing pricing data from suppliers and subcontractors
- Preparing and submitting tenders
- Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Supporting the commercial team in securing new projects
About You
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively within a team environment
- Capable of managing deadlines and working under pressure
- Previous experience in estimating or within the construction industry (roofing experience desirable but not essential)
