TEKLA Draughtsman wanted for an Architectural Metalwork & Structural Steelwork. This is a permanent role. Company Overview: Our client, are a well-established steelwork firm specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of architectural metalwork and structural steelwork. They manufacture and install staircases and balustrades to complex structural steel frameworks for commercial and residential developments. Working for blue-chip clientele they are projected to continue to grow and are seeking an experienced TEKLA Draughtsman to help meet their ambitions. Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed drawings and models using TEKLA Structures, supporting the delivery of high-quality steel and metalwork fabrication projects. You will work closely with our in-house project managers, fabricators, and external clients to ensure that all designs meet project specifications and are delivered to schedule. Key Responsibilities: * Produce 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using TEKLA Structures software. * Create general arrangement drawings, assembly drawings and parts lists for structural steel and architectural metalwork components. * Interpret engineering and architectural drawings to create fabrication models. * Liaise with clients, engineers, architects and other stakeholders to ensure drawings are accurate and reflect project requirements. * Revise drawings based on feedback from the project team or client. * Maintain drawing registers and ensure all documents are filed in line with company procedures. * Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards, company processes and health and safety regulations. Requirements: * Proven experience using TEKLA Structures within the structural steelwork or architectural metalwork industry. * Strong understanding of fabrication and erection processes for steelwork and metalwork. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Good communication and organisational skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving. Desirable: * Knowledge of other CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks) would be advantageous. * Familiarity with BIM coordination processes.
