An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of innovation and sustainability within the manufacturing sector. This pivotal role will lead the procurement and supply chain function, ensuring the seamless sourcing, storage, and distribution of raw materials, components, services, and finished goods essential to the operation and maintenance of manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to deliver cost, quality, and service benefits.
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and commercial agreements to optimise value.
- Develop and execute strategic procurement plans to ensure cost-effective sourcing across multiple production sites.
- Work closely with production, operations, and finance teams to ensure integrated and efficient supply chain operations.
- Oversee and improve inventory management systems and demand forecasting models to maintain ideal stock levels and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with technical teams to supply data and support for audits and compliance processes.
- Proactively identify and address risks related to market dynamics, supply disruptions, and logistics challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement policies and procedures to enhance compliance, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Manage the company's Supplier Charter, including data reporting and a rolling programme of improvements to enhance accuracy and engagement.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage associated risks using structured tools and processes (e.g. risk matrices), ensuring full compliance with company policies and ISO 20400 standards.
- Leverage supply chain analytics tools (e.g. PowerBI) and software platforms to track KPIs and deliver data-driven performance insights.
- Provide support and guidance to local site teams managing procurement and logistics functions.
- Assist the Innovation team in sourcing sustainable alternatives—materials, partners, or services—that align with the business's ESG roadmap and strategic goals.
Candidate Profile
- 5–7 years' experience in procurement and supply chain leadership roles within the manufacturing or building products industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Solid knowledge of procurement practices, contract management, and supplier performance frameworks.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and ERP/supply chain systems (experience with Microsoft Fabric platform is a plus).
- Experience with ISO 20400 standards and supplier sustainability audits.
- Strong understanding of inventory planning, demand forecasting, and logistics optimisation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional or multi-site teams.
- A passion for sustainability and continuous improvement.
