Our client, a leading name in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to join their senior team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving the success of high-profile projects across the UK. As Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for tenders and projects. Leading a skilled team of estimators, you will ensure all bids are commercially viable, compliant, and aligned with the company\’s strategic goals. You will work closely with the pre-construction, commercial, and project delivery teams to secure profitable work and build strong client relationships. The Role ·Lead and manage the full pricing function for projects ranging from small works to multi-million-pound developments. ·Prepare accurate and competitive tenders, ensuring all commercial considerations are addressed. ·Oversee and drive the tender submission process to enhance accuracy, turnaround times, and win rates. ·Conduct handover meetings for successful tenders with the contracts team to ensure smooth project delivery. ·Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams, negotiating effectively at all levels. ·Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, following up on leads to secure additional work. ·Coach, mentor, and develop the estimating team to maintain high performance and professional growth. Personal Requirements ·Exceptional attention to detail with a thorough, methodical approach. ·Proven ability to read and accurately interpret drawings and technical specifications. ·Skilled in measuring quantities from construction drawings with precision. ·Strong understanding of various construction methods and commercial issues relating to tenders. ·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels. ·Highly motivated, organised, and able to perform effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines. ·Competent in the use of relevant computer packages and estimating software.
