Location: Walsall, West Midlands

Shifts: 40 Hours (Highly flexible between 6am - 10pm, with occasional weekends & nights)

Salary: Circa £45,000 per annum (Dependent on experience)

The Roles & Duties:

  • Leadership: Act as successor to the Maintenance Manager, supervising contractors and managing budgets.
  • Compliance & Care: Ensure site and equipment compliance; manage crane, furnace, and insurance defects.
  • Systems & Admin: Oversee the CMMS/PPM system, logging breakdowns and managing spare parts/ordering.
  • Hands‑on Engineering: Electrical fault‑finding, working with motors, mechanical repairs, and sharing the call‑out/weekend rota.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Heavy industrial, chemical, or fast‑paced manufacturing background with strong electrical fault‑finding and motor knowledge.
  • Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications (Electrical bias preferred) with a strong grasp of safe systems of work.
  • Traits: Ambitious, flexible, organized, and willing to work a flexible schedule, call‑out rota, and occasional weekends.
  • Desirable: Experience with industrial cranes and furnaces (training provided if needed).
