The Roles & Duties:
- Leadership: Act as successor to the Maintenance Manager, supervising contractors and managing budgets.
- Compliance & Care: Ensure site and equipment compliance; manage crane, furnace, and insurance defects.
- Systems & Admin: Oversee the CMMS/PPM system, logging breakdowns and managing spare parts/ordering.
- Hands‑on Engineering: Electrical fault‑finding, working with motors, mechanical repairs, and sharing the call‑out/weekend rota.
Requirements:
- Experience: Heavy industrial, chemical, or fast‑paced manufacturing background with strong electrical fault‑finding and motor knowledge.
- Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications (Electrical bias preferred) with a strong grasp of safe systems of work.
- Traits: Ambitious, flexible, organized, and willing to work a flexible schedule, call‑out rota, and occasional weekends.
- Desirable: Experience with industrial cranes and furnaces (training provided if needed).
