Location: Isle of Skye, Scotland (Accommodation Paid)

Rate: £22.14 per hour (CIS)

Rota: 11 days on, 3 days off

Start Date: February 2026

Duration: Long-Term Ongoing Contract (Expected 2-3 Years)

The Role: We are seeking a reliable and highly experienced Slinger/Signaller (Banksman) to support the safe and efficient lifting operations on this large-scale energy infrastructure project. This scheme involves complex, heavy lifts in challenging, uneven terrain for the installation of concrete pads and power line components. You will be the vital link between the crane/plant operator and the slinging teams, ensuring precise and safe placement of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe Lifting: Directing all crane, excavator, and telehandler lifting operations on site using clear and correct hand and radio signals.
  • Slinging: Selecting, inspecting, and using appropriate lifting gear (chains, slings, shackles) to securely attach loads.
  • Communication: Acting as the clear point of contact during lifts, particularly over obstacles and uneven ground.
  • Compliance: Strict adherence to lifting plans, method statements, and site safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS Slinger/Signaller ticket (required).
  • Valid CSCS Card (required).
  • Proven recent experience in heavy civils lifting operations, ideally involving structural concrete, challenging terrain, or utility/energy infrastructure.
  • Must be able to commit to the structured 11-on, 3-off rotation starting in February.
