Site Agent
Location: Leeds, York, or Pontefract (candidates must be based within commuting distance of these locations)
Salary: Up to Β£58,000 per annum + package. Β£6000 β Β£6600 Car Allowance
About the Role
Randstad are currently recruiting for a Site Agent to join a reputable civil engineering company based near Leeds, York or Pontefract. As Site Agent, you will oversee the successful delivery of various civils projects, primarily focusing on highways and roadworks across Yorkshire. This is a crucial role requiring strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site activities, ensuring projects meet specifications, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Manage and mentor site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain a robust health & safety culture, conducting regular risk assessments and toolbox talks.
- Monitor project progress against budgets and programmes, reporting and implementing solutions for any deviations.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, engineers, and local authorities.
- Maintain accurate site records, diaries, and quality assurance documentation.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Site Agent or similar role within the civils sector.
- Significant experience with highways and roadworks projects.
- Solid understanding of construction methodology, health & safety legislation, and quality control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND in Civil Engineering).
- SMSTS and CSCS cards are mandatory.
- Full UK driving licence.
