Shifts: 07:30 - 16:30 (Monday to Friday)

The Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced and ticketed 3CX Operator / Rubber Duck Driver for an immediate start on a busy civils project based in Ripon. This is a short-term contract lasting a few weeks, perfect for an experienced operative looking to fill a gap between major projects with a reliable, local run of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation: Safe and efficient operation of a JCB 3CX Backhoe Loader across a busy site footprint.
  • Civils & Earthworks: Utilizing both the front shovel and rear excavator arm for trenching, loading, backfilling, and material movement.
  • Site Mobility: Navigating the wheeled 'Rubber Duck' safely around tight spaces and interfaces with other trades.
  • Maintenance: Conducting daily pre-start plant checks and ensuring the machine is kept in excellent working order.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Tickets: Valid CPCS A12 (180 Excavator / Backhoe Loader) or NPORS equivalent qualification.
  • CSCS Compliance: Plant card must carry the CSCS logo.
  • Experience: Proven track record operating a 3CX on live civil engineering or commercial construction schemes.
  • Logistics: Must be able to commute to Ripon for a 07:30 start.
