Randstad C&P are working with a national client to onbaord a Building Services Manager based in Richmond, North Yorkshire.
- The Package
- Competitive pay rate of £500 per day PAYE
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 07:30 - 16:30
- Long term 12 months contract
- The Duties
- Analyse tender documentation, building services surveys, and utility requirements to identify MEP risks, resource needs, and value-engineering opportunities.
- Lead building services bid strategy, aligning win strategies, design deliverables, procurement plans, and commissioning approaches with commercial and design teams.
- Plan, manage, and coordinate MEP design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities across the full project lifecycle.
- Maintain building services programmes, proactively mitigating impacts from resequencing, acceleration, or late information while providing clear progress reporting.
- Support Principal Contractor duties, enforcing mechanical/electrical safe systems of work, live-working controls, and energisation readiness.
- The Requirements
- Relevant Degree in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
- Valid CSCS Card and SMSTS.
- Professional membership or affiliation with CIBSE, IET, or IMech E.
- Hands-on experience and solid technical understanding of building services commissioning protocols and delivery.
- Proven track record leading medium-sized or moderately complex projects from pre-construction through to handover.
- Demonstrated success managing multidisciplinary teams, specialist supply-chain partners, and project controls across various delivery challenges.
- Strong understanding of M&E design responsibilities, statutory compliance, live energisation safety, and safe systems of work.
