Pay Rate: £13.86 per hour (Salary Equivalent: ~£27,027 per annum)

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday (09:00 - 17:00)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: 6-Month Contract

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Material Handler II to join a fast-paced warehouse team based in Paisley. Working within a collaborative, quality-focused environment, you will carry out day-to-day material handling, order picking, and packing duties to ensure customer orders are prepared accurately, safely, and shipped on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Fulfilment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders to meet daily shipment deadlines.
  • SOP & GMP Compliance: Perform all warehouse tasks strictly in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • System Logging: Use in-house software and PC systems to manage order tracking, stock movements, and regulatory records.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse machinery, including Counterbalance and Reach trucks (where licensed).
  • Quality & In-Process Checks: Perform regular checks on stock and packaging to ensure full compliance and high quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in workplace organisation initiatives (5S) and process improvement activities.
  • Cold Storage Operations: Work efficiently across ambient, cold room (+4°C), and freezer (-20°C) storage environments for extended periods.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year's experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
  • IT Literacy: Basic computer skills with the ability to navigate in-house warehouse management software.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in picking, packing, and maintaining regulatory records.
  • Physical Capability: Comfortable with repetitive physical tasks, including walking, standing, reaching, and manual handling (lifting up to 25kg).
  • Temperature Adaptability: Willing and able to work in refrigerated (+4°C) and freezer (-20°C) environments (PPE provided).

Preferred Criteria:

  • Valid license for powered industrial trucks (Counterbalance / Reach trucks / Order Pickers)
