Position Type: Full-Time, 3-Month Initial Contract (with potential for extension)

Salary: £13.79/hour + 25% Shift Allowance (Salary Equivalent: £27,027)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: Rotational patterns including Early (6AM-2PM), Back (2PM-10PM), and Night shifts (10PM-6AM).

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Manufacturing Operator II to join our production team. In this role, you will primarily work in our dedicated label room-printing production labels, managing schedules, and ensuring the highest standards of quality control. This is a fantastic opportunity for an upbeat team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing independent tasks with collaborative teamwork. Full training is provided!

What You Will Do

  • Labeling & Scheduling: Print labels based on planning schedules, verify work orders, and prepare materials for the production line.
  • Packaging & Quality Control: Pack, weigh, seal, and label containers. Inspect products at each stage to ensure they meet strict quality standards.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete production floor paperwork, tracking weights, times, and dates in line with regulatory guidelines.
  • Line Clearance: Maintain clean, sanitized work areas and responsibly dispose of or reconcile leftover production materials.
  • Equipment Operations: Monitor conveyor speeds and assist with basic equipment verification.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Secondary education, Advanced Certificate, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or laboratory environment is preferred (school or work-based training both count!).
  • Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with manufacturing inventory software (like QAD or Agile) is a major plus.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in following written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and completing paperwork.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
