Regional Quality Manager required for a Tier 1 contractor based in Berkshire. The company is one of the most successful privately owned profitable contractors in the country, with Southern operations based near Reading and a turnover exceeding £1 billion annually.
Project Portfolio
- Target schemes between £20 and £90 million on frameworks and repeat business opportunities with long-term clients.
- Identify and target single-stage regeneration and development schemes up to £150 million, including large schools, multi-phased education projects, student accommodation, PRS developments, high-rise office and residential schemes, distribution hubs, and large retail and leisure developments.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide quality and systems support throughout all project phases: bid, preconstruction, on-site delivery, commissioning, defects, and warranty periods.
- Manage the company's quality plan, ensuring compliance with legal obligations, external manufacturer requirements, and supply chain quality systems.
- Conduct on-site quality checks with delivery teams and subcontractors, audit and maintain NCR registers, and report on best practices.
- Update and manage the regional quality plan to ensure compliance with ISO standards and industry benchmarks.
- Investigate latent defects and compliance issues to facilitate continuous improvement strategies.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates have a background in QA/Inspection within construction or are construction professionals such as project or site managers with a strong interest in quality and continuous improvement practices.
