The Opportunity: Are you looking for a hands‑on active role with a real pathway to a professional career? We are seeking a Surveyor's Assistant to provide vital on‑site support to our lead Building Surveyors. No formal surveying qualifications are required for this role. This is a massive entry‑level opportunity. For candidates who show great work ethic and a talent for the trade, the client is looking to transition this contract into a permanent position as a Trainee Surveyor. If you want a foot in the door to a lucrative career in building surveying, this is it!

What You Will Be Doing:

  • You will be the vital right‑hand support to the surveyor, helping them navigate and safely complete daily site surveys.
  • Carrying, setting up, and safely securing ladders on site.
  • Acting as the dedicated "ladder man" ensuring strict health and safety protocols are maintained at the base while the surveyor works at height.
  • Assisting the surveyor around the properties, clearing site access, and moving equipment.

Logistics: Meeting up with the lead surveyor in the morning and travelling together in the surveyor's vehicle to various local sites (lift-sharing).

Who We Are Looking For: This role is highly physical and requires you to be on your feet all day, so you must be in good health with no pre‑existing conditions that limit manual labour. This role would perfectly suit:

  • Graduates: College or university graduates looking for excellent, well‑paid summer work.
  • Physical Backgrounds: Anyone with experience in gardening, handymen work, or fabric maintenance.
  • Active Sectors: Warehouse workers, telecoms/vending machine technicians, or retail staff (Tesco, Home base, M&S, etc.) who are used to being active and on their feet all day.

Requirements:

  • A valid CSCS Card
  • Good physical health and comfort working with ladders/heights.
  • Having your own car/transport is handy, though you will primarily be travelling in the surveyor's vehicle during the day.
  • Right to work in the UK.

How to Apply: If you are reliable, active, and ready for an immediate start, please apply with your updated CV today, specifying which location you are applying for.
