We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Supervisor to oversee a school refurbishment project in Peterlee. This is an 8-week contract with an immediate start in December. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Management: Oversee all on-site operations, managing subcontractors and direct labor.
- Health & Safety: Ensure strict compliance with all Health & Safety regulations, conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and managing risk assessments/method statements (RAMS).
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the refurbishment project.
- Progress Monitoring: Drive the project schedule, report on progress to the Project Manager, and anticipate/resolve potential issues.
- Resource Allocation: Manage on-site plant, materials, and deliveries efficiently.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, ideally on school refurbishment or similar commercial projects.
- Valid SMSTS/SSSTS certification is essential.
- Valid CSCS card (Gold/Black) or equivalent.
- Valid First Aid at Work certification.
