The Opportunity
In this agency position, you will support manufacturing controls systems, ensuring robust performance of production equipment through software support, diagnostics, machine tuning, and validation activities.
- Operations Support: Deliver controls and software support for manufacturing operations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment control system issues to minimize factory downtime.
- System Optimization: Execute software updates, fault-finding, and continuous system optimization.
- Testing & Validation: Support commissioning, testing, tuning, and validation of production machinery.
- Process Improvement: Analyze production procedures to drive quality, reliability, and efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing and maintenance teams while maintaining precise documentation of code and system changes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in industrial control systems, automation, and embedded control systems.
- Strong capability in fault diagnosis and root-cause analysis.
- Hands-on approach within both manufacturing and proving ground environments.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Experience with Off-Highway Trucks (OHT) or heavy machinery.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar systems or equivalent OEM environments.
- Solid understanding of J1939 CAN/Ethernet communications, sensors, actuators, and real-time systems.
