Are you a multi-skilled patcher / finisher with an eye for detail? We are seeking an experienced tradesperson to join a busy new build housing site in Newcastle for an ongoing contract role. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in handing over a flawless product and wants the security of long-term work on a well-managed residential development.
The Role:
- Carrying out high-quality internal patching, dry-lining repairs, and plaster touch-ups.
- Making good walls, ceilings, and woodwork ahead of the final decoration stage.
- Completing final internal snagging lists, including minor joinery adjustments and mastic/silicone sealing in kitchens and bathrooms.
- Identifying and rectifying defects quickly to meet strict customer handover deadlines.
- Working closely with the Site Manager to maintain quality control across the development.
What You'll Need:
- Valid CSCS Card (Skilled Worker card preferred).
- Proven experience as a patcher, finisher, or snagging handyman on new build housing sites.
- An exceptionally keen eye for detail - you must be able to spot and fix the minor flaws that others miss.
- Your own comprehensive toolkit for patching, making good, and fine finishing.
- Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, steel toe boots).
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional work ethic.
