Are you a versatile and experienced multi-skilled operative with a wide range of skills? We are seeking a proactive individual to join our team on a busy construction site. If you\’re a hands-on professional who can turn their hand to various tasks, we want to hear from you!
The Role:
This is a dynamic and essential role that requires a blend of practical skills and a keen eye for site maintenance. You will be responsible for keeping the site running smoothly and safely. Your key duties will include:
- Banksman & Gateman Duties: Acting as a banksman as and when required and providing cover for the gateman position.
- Maintenance & Weekly Checks: Conducting weekly checks on all site fire points, fencing, and equipment.
- Site Upkeep: Keeping the site maintained and clean, ensuring walkways and access routes are always safe and clear.
- General Labouring: Assisting with general site labouring, including emptying bins with a forklift operator and ensuring all signage is clear and up-to-date.
- Practical Works: Carrying out minor joinery and other trades works as directed.
- Power Tools: Extensive use of cordless power tools to complete various tasks.
Required Skills / Experience:
- Experienced in Construction: Proven experience working on a construction site in a similar capacity.
- Multi-Skilled: Possesses a range of skills in minor joinery and other trades works.
- Proficient with Power Tools: Has extensive experience and is highly competent in using cordless power tools.
- Safety-Conscious: Has a strong understanding of site safety and a proactive approach to it.
- Ticketed: Must hold a valid CSCS card.
- Slinger/Signaller Ticket: A Slinger/Signaller ticket is highly desirable and would be a significant advantage.
- Reliable: Punctual, reliable, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
