Traffic Marshall in Letchworth

Job Title: Traffic Marshall

Location: Letchworth

Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour (CIS)

Hours: 45 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Vehicle Guidance: Safely direct site traffic, heavy plant machinery, and delivery vehicles entering, moving around, and exiting the site.

• Pedestrian Safety: Maintain clear separation between moving vehicles and workers/pedestrians to prevent site hazards.

• Access Control: Manage the site entrance gate, sign in deliveries, and ensure only authorized traffic enters.

• Clear Communication: Guide drivers using standard hand signals and radio equipment.

• Safety Enforcement: Ensure incoming drivers follow site safety rules and wear appropriate PPE upon arrival.

• General Support: Keep the entrance area clean and assist site management during quiet vehicle periods.

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card

• Valid Traffic Marshall / Banksman Ticket

• Full PPE (High-vis vest/trousers, hard hat, steel toe-cap boots)

• Strong communication skills and reliability

• Right to work in the UK under CIS payment terms
