Randstad C&P are currently seeking an experienced Lead Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to join our clients Facilities Management team in Darlington/Sedgefield. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong engineer with supervisory or mentoring experience/ certs.
The Package:
- Competitive salary between £40,000 – £42,000 per annum (Depending on experience/Quals)
- Full-time and permanent, Monday to Friday
- 40 hours per week, 8.30am – 4.30pm
- Pool van for company use
- Overtime and oncall opportunities

- 33 days annual holidays (including bank holidays)
The main duties:
- Direct line management of the engineering workforce.
- Monitor performance of the engineering workforce.
- Allocate tasks to appropriate staff using CAFM system.
- Take on Authorised Person duties in relevant areas.
- Participate in the Engineers On-Call rota.
- Ensure that workforce meet relevant task KPIs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to workforce.
The requirements:
- Qualified time-served Electrician/Mechanical Engineer with significant post-qualification experience (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 desirable
- BS7671 18th Edition
- Experience in a supervisory/mentor role (With Certificates)
- Good communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Full UK drivers licence
