Junior Site Engineer (Temp to Perm) – Housing Civils

Are you a Site Engineer looking to kick-start your career with a clear path to a permanent role?

Randstad is looking for a Junior Site Engineer for a growing civil engineering company specializing in large-scale residential developments. We\’re looking for a highly motivated and proactive Junior Site Engineer on a temp-to-perm basis, with a view to a permanent contract after a 12-week trial period.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to two years of experience in the civils sector. You\’ll work closely with our experienced project managers and site teams, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of residential groundworks and infrastructure.

What you\’ll be doing:

  • Setting out and checking various civils works on housing sites, including roads, drainage, foundations, and utilities.
  • Assisting with the management of site operations, including health and safety, quality control, and environmental compliance.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and design specifications.
  • Conducting site surveys and compiling daily site diaries and reports.
  • Collaborating with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.

What we\’re looking for:

  • A degree or HNC in Civil Engineering.
  • A valid CSCS card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Basic knowledge of surveying equipment, such as total stations and GPS.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
