We are working with an established, family owned and operated regional contractor near Winchester who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team. They have had a steady and managed period of growth over the last 10 years and have a full order book for 2026 through to 2028 and work on a range of schemes up to £20 million and currently have new build and refurb schemes on site in the healthcare, education, local authority and care marketplaces.

They operate an hour from Winchester covering Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Surrey and they win work through a range of frameworks as well as negotiated schemes and will also look at single stage bids if it fits the company profile.

The role is to get involved at estimating stages to help with pricing and programming queries and pass on your practical on site experience to the bid teams. You will then firm up enquiries and convert into subcontract orders, place orders and manage pre starts on site then take responsibility to manage the packages through to completion on site.

You will be looking after all the usual good stuff on site - payments, valuations, variation accounts, remeasures, forecasting, CVR prep etc. and working closely with the site management team to deliver the scheme on time. You will have a lot of autonomy on site to make real time decisions and we will be fully backed by head office support functions and you will report into the Regional Commercial Manager.
