We are seeking a Surveyor's Assistant to provide vital on-site support to our lead Building Surveyors. No formal surveying qualifications are required for this role. This is a massive entry-level opportunity. For candidates who show great work ethic and a talent for the trade, the client is looking to transition this contract into a permanent position as a Trainee Surveyor. What You Will Be Doing:
- Carrying, setting up, and safely securing ladders on site.
- Acting as the dedicated "ladder man" ensuring strict health and safety protocols are maintained at the base while the surveyor works at height.
- Assisting the surveyor around the properties, clearing site access, and moving equipment.
- Logistics: Meeting up with the lead surveyor in the morning and travelling together in the surveyor's vehicle to various local sites (lift-sharing).
Who We Are Looking For: This role is highly physical and requires you to be on your feet all day, so you must be in good health with no pre-existing conditions that limit manual labour. This role would perfectly suit:
- Graduates: College or university graduates looking for excellent, well-paid summer work.
- Physical Backgrounds: Anyone with experience in gardening, handymen work, or fabric maintenance.
- Active Sectors: Warehouse workers, telecoms/vending machine technicians, or retail staff (Tesco, Homebase, M&S, etc.) who are used to being active and on their feet all day.
Requirements:
- A valid CSCS Card
- Good physical health and comfort working with ladders/heights.
- Having your own car/transport is handy, though you will primarily be travelling in the surveyor's vehicle during the day.
- Right to work in the UK.
