The Role
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Testing and inspecting emergency lighting, fire alarms, and distribution boards.
- Reactive Repairs: Fault‑finding and fixing electrical issues across academic buildings, laboratories, and student residences.
- Minor Installations: Assisting with small‑scale project works and upgrades.
- Compliance: Ensuring all work meets 18th Edition (BS 7671) standards and health and safety regulations.

What We're Looking For
- Qualified Electrician: Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) and 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.

- Testing & Inspection: City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/5) is highly desirable.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a diverse environment, from historic buildings to state‑of‑the‑art research facilities.
- Team Player: A positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.
