Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Document Controller for a leading, tier‑one UK construction group to support major, long-term projects in Southampton. You will manage, distribute, and archive all technical and commercial project documentation, ensuring full compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- EDMS Management: Maintain the Electronic Document Management System, registering and distributing drawings, specifications, and technical data.
- Compliance: Ensure all incoming and outgoing documentation strictly adheres to project protocols and naming conventions.
- Collaboration: Act as the central point of contact for Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Subcontractors regarding data workflow.
- Reporting & Closeout: Generate status reports on pending approvals and manage the final handover documentation (O&M manuals/As-Builts).
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Proven track record as a Document Controller within Construction or Civil Engineering.
- Systems: Strong proficiency in major EDMS platforms (e.g., Viewpoint/4Projects, Asite, Aconex, or BC).
- Skills: Sharp attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage workloads in a fast‑paced environment.
