Our client is looking for a Document Controller to join heir Technical and wider team, working within an established Main Contracting business across the region.

As a Document Controller, you will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of project documentation. You\’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to maintain control and traceability of all project-related documents. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, log, and file all project-related documents, drawings, and correspondence using our document management system.

  • Ensure all documentation is current, correctly filed, and easily accessible to the project team.

  • Maintain accurate registers of all incoming and outgoing documents, ensuring timely distribution to the relevant parties.

  • Support the project team with issuing, transmitting, and receiving documents, including transmittals and RFIs (Requests for Information).

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure document control procedures are being followed.

  • Assist in the preparation of project handover files and close-out documentation.

  • Collaborate with site teams to ensure all documentation is recorded accurately on-site.

  • Manage and update project drawings and revisions, ensuring the latest versions are always available.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Document Controller, ideally within the construction or engineering industry.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency with document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Viewpoint, Asite, or similar).

  • Solid understanding of document control procedures and best practices.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
