Catering Assistant – Stockton on Tees (TS16 0QB) – Immediate Start – Leading Employer – Temporary Contract

Our leading Facilities Management client is seeking a Catering Assistant to join the team in Stockton on Tees (TS16 0QB). We pay weekly.

The pay rate is £12.93 per hour. Working hours are 08:30 am – 3:00 pm (Monday – Friday). A Basic DBS Check is required. The start date is ASAP, on a temporary basis.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. The supervision and control of the Catering Service in compliance with Equans Food Safety Management System.
2. The preparation and delivery of food and beverages in accordance with customer contractual requirements.
3. Supervisory management of the Catering Operatives.
4. Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade as determined and agreed with the Facility\’s Manager.
5. 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday (negotiable).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Knowledge of cooking theory, demonstrating good practical cooking techniques, and previous experience working in a similar catering environment, including supervising a catering team.
• Understanding of Health and Safety and Food Safety Management Systems.
• Ideally hold or be working towards Food Safety Level 3 Certificate.
• Ideally hold or be working towards HACCP Level 3 Certificate.
• Ideally hold or be working towards IOSH Supervising Safety (not mandatory).
• Ideally hold a current First Aid qualification (not mandatory).
