The Role: We are looking for highly skilled Shuttering Joiners to join a structural civil engineering project in Bishop Auckland. The work involves high-spec concrete works, including retaining walls, foundations, and structural slabs. This is a great opportunity for an experienced joiner to secure a solid run of well-paid work on a professionally managed site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formwork Systems: Setting up and striking various formwork systems (e.g., PERI, Doka, or traditional timber shutters).
- Structural Pours: Constructing formwork for retaining walls, abutments, and reinforced concrete slabs.
- Bolt Boxes: Setting out and fixing high-precision bolt boxes and hardware for steelwork connections.
- Collaboration: Working closely with steel fixers and concrete gangs to ensure the integrity of the structures before and during pours.
- Drawing Interpretation: Reading and working from technical structural drawings and site plans.
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker in Formwork/Shuttering Joinery preferred).
- Proven experience in heavy civil engineering or structural concrete projects.
- Full set of own tools for shuttering/formwork.
- Valid Safety Critical Medical (advantageous).
- Strong track record of attendance and a high standard of finish.
