Job Description
Our client is seeking a motivated Assistant Building Surveyor to join their London office. This role offers the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge, and experience in building surveying, including carrying out building surveys on high-rise residential properties and producing detailed reports.

Key Responsibilities
Skills, Knowledge, Understanding and Learning:
- Support colleagues by liaising closely with clients, residents, contractors, developers, clerks of works, and other key stakeholders.
- Develop an understanding of the requirements of the Building Safety Act and fulfil works required by the legislation with guidance from the regulator and other internal and external project team members.
- Assist colleagues in carrying out resident and stakeholder engagement throughout a project lifecycle.
- Understand project deliverables to ensure the client receives the required information.
- Support the preparation of building safety case information, audits, and compliance trackers, using appropriate software after training.
- Work towards completing the APC.
Main Duties
- Assist in delivering building safety case works, including the production of building safety case reports.
- Work as part of a small team, reporting to the Team Leader or Delivery Director.
- Undertake projects across London, Essex, and Kent.
- Show an interest in developing a career in the built environment and acquiring skills aligned with the role of a Building Surveyor.
Procedures and Administration
- Understand client requirements for completing building safety case-related tasks.
- Support resident liaison processes to ensure project completion.
- Take minutes during internal and external meetings and understand key discussion points.
- Learn how various roles within the project team contribute to successful project delivery.
- Assist with tender processes and procurement of consultants and contractors as required.
