Construction Logistics Group is looking for an International Payroll Specialist (European projects) to work in London based office/ remotely depending on candidate location (full time / part time).
Payroll processing for mainly Nordic countries, Ireland and additional countries as reasonably required in line with the needs of the business.
Candidate Profile
This is an independent contribution role that requires a high level of self-direction and accountability. The candidate must possess the ability to complete assigned duties in a timely manner without daily oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, review, and approve timesheets and attendance data. Calculate gross-to-net pay including overtime, bonuses, and commission.
- Ensure payroll transactions strictly adhere to government regulations, based on the country.
- Maintain immaculate, confidential records of payroll transactions, employee benefits, and statutory leaves (e.g., maternity/paternity, or sick pay).
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and field employee questions regarding payslips and deductions.
- Reconcile payroll data, prepare reports for finance/HR departments, and assist with internal or external audits.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in international payroll administration (minimum 2 Nordic countries).
- Processing end-to-end payroll procedure (starters, leavers, bonuses, adjustments).
- Strong working knowledge of payroll platforms such as NMBRS, Tripletex, Visma, Mepco, Hogia, Procounter, etc.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
- High numerical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail to prevent costly payroll errors.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to explain complex payroll matters clearly to staff and operations team.
- Handling employee payroll queries and explaining payslips, benefits and deductions.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial and personal information with absolute confidentiality.
Salary is negotiable and discussed at the interview + Bonuses based on performance. Reports to Finance Director.
