Construction Logistics Group are currently looking for a Health & Safety Manager for their projects in London and abroad. Working in partnership with a range of construction companies across the UK and Europe, we are constantly expanding and looking for candidates to grow as part of our team. This is a permanent role based in central London. You will be required to fly abroad 3 to 4 times a month to overview our international projects.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and directing CLG construction projects from conception to completion.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits across multiple sites, with the aim of raising awareness around health and safety and an accident-free workplace.
- Monitor and review safety performance, investigate near-misses accidents, incidents and root cause analysis.
- Developing and delivering training programmes to site teams, ensuring safety standards and protocols are adhered to.
- Ensure robust reporting procedures and strategies are in place.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven working experience in a similar role is a must.
- Understanding the legal aspects of health and safety in construction.
- Assess the safety of a workplace and conduct a health & safety risk assessment.
- Understand the importance of safe manual handling in the workplace.
- Gain a solid understanding of risks to health within a construction environment.
- Understand the importance of working around plants and equipment safely.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- NEBOSH qualified as a minimum, GradIOSH or CMIOSH would be beneficial although not a pre-requisite.
