Construction Helpline have been at the forefront of digitizing construction by offering a range of products and services for workers to take them to the next level. We seek to drive better outcomes for the construction sector's people and communities. Construction Helpline is currently delivering funded training through its Government-backed Skills Boot Camps. To date, we have provided over 300,000 CSCS cards and 200,000 health and safety courses, with CITB Tests (Health and Safety Environment Course), Construction NVQ Training, and CITB CSCS card acquisition being our core products.

As a CHL Tutor, you will assess learners in construction-related qualifications and provide guidance to help them meet the necessary learning criteria. You will work with the internal team to apply the standards and assessment requirements of Level 2 construction-related qualifications. This is a fully remote role - can be based anywhere.

Duties of a Tutor:

  • Delivering training and teaching sessions in line with the programme and schedules
  • Delivering tutoring sessions using adequate teaching techniques to meet the needs of the learners
  • Providing regular feedback to the learners
  • Preparing and planning learning sessions with clear aims and objectives
  • Managing learners' attendance timely
  • Providing adequate support and information to the learners
  • Producing regular reports on the quality and progress
  • Liaising with training staff as appropriate
  • Keeping up-to-date CPD
  • Attending meetings

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Demonstrable occupational competence within drylining
  • Industry-recognized drylining qualification
  • Teaching qualification
  • Assessing qualification (Desirable)
  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to craft accurate reports
  • Tact and patience
  • Good organisational skills
  • The ability to work with learners from varied backgrounds
  • Own transport and flexibility to travel

Software Skills: (preferred but not essential as training will be given)

  • Some experience of using online systems
  • E-portfolio systems
  • Microsoft Office

Scope of the Role: This role will be on a freelance contract basis. To help you become successful in this role, we offer a collaborative and stimulating team environment with further training. We are offering a competitive rate of pay.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
