Role Purpose
Install, test, commission, and maintain Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV Charging, and Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) electrical systems across domestic, commercial, and social housing projects.
Ensure all work meets industry regulations, safety standards, and company quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission Solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, and ASHP electrical systems.
- Carry out consumer unit upgrades, electrical modifications, testing, inspection, fault finding, and certification in line with BS 7671.
- Complete installation documentation, job cards, test certificates, and photographic evidence using company systems.
- Ensure compliance with BS 7671, MCS, PAS 63100, G98/G99, and Health & Safety requirements.
- Liaise with project teams, office staff, and customers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Supervise labourers on site and promote safe working practices.
- Participate in training, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Inspection & Testing qualification (C&G 2391 or equivalent).
- Solar PV, Electrical Energy Storage, and EV Charging qualifications.
- ECS/JIB Gold Card.
- Minimum 3 years' electrical installation experience.
- Strong knowledge of BS 7671 and safe isolation procedures.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good communication skills and the ability to use tablets for digital job records
Desirable but not essential
- Manufacturer training (e. g. Fox ESS, Sola X, Fastensol).
- Experience with renewable energy installations in social housing/RSL programmes.
- Knowledge of G98/G99 grid connections and renewable energy compliance
