Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Finishing Site Manager to oversee and drive the completion phase of a live construction project based in Glasgow City Centre. This role will focus on managing all finishing trades, ensuring quality standards are met, and delivering the project to programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all finishing trades on site
- Oversee internal finishes including joinery, decoration, glazing repairs, flooring, ceilings
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards
- Carry out quality inspections and manage snagging processes
- Coordinate subcontractors and manage daily activity on site
- Maintain site records, RAMS reviews, and progress reporting
- Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks
- Liaise with the Project Manager and client representatives
- Ensure health & safety compliance at all times
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Finishing Site Manager on commercial or shop fitting projects
- Strong track record delivering projects through completion and handover
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – Essential
- Valid First Aid Certificate – Essential
- CSCS Card (Black or Gold preferred)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to drive programme and maintain quality standards
Desirable
- Experience working on city centre projects
- Strong eye for detail and quality control
- Experience managing high-end finishes
