Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Finishing Site Manager to oversee and drive the completion phase of a live construction project based in Glasgow City Centre. This role will focus on managing all finishing trades, ensuring quality standards are met, and delivering the project to programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all finishing trades on site
  • Oversee internal finishes including joinery, decoration, glazing repairs, flooring, ceilings
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards
  • Carry out quality inspections and manage snagging processes
  • Coordinate subcontractors and manage daily activity on site
  • Maintain site records, RAMS reviews, and progress reporting
  • Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks
  • Liaise with the Project Manager and client representatives
  • Ensure health & safety compliance at all times

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Finishing Site Manager on commercial or shop fitting projects
  • Strong track record delivering projects through completion and handover
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – Essential
  • Valid First Aid Certificate – Essential
  • CSCS Card (Black or Gold preferred)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to drive programme and maintain quality standards

Desirable

  • Experience working on city centre projects
  • Strong eye for detail and quality control
  • Experience managing high-end finishes
