Our client, a leading commercial M&E and fit-out contractor, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team to work on commercial fit out projects around the City of London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that values internal progression, as reflected by their current leadership team. The business is established but is still growing year on year due to their brilliant reputation in the industry. The ideal M&E Quantity Surveyor will have/be:
- Proven track record managing multi-million-pound projects through to final account.
- Strong M&E knowledge and experience with JCT contracts.
- Skilled in contractual documentation (Notices of Delay, EoTs) and RIBA stages.
- Client-facing with excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all commercial aspects of projects, mitigating risk, maximising profit, and meeting deadlines.
- Review and negotiate contract terms to protect company interests.
- Interpret client requirements, technical specs, and drawings.
- Liaise with design, estimating, and operations teams to ensure alignment.
- Prepare and present cost reports, variation logs, and cashflow forecasts.
- Ensure contractual compliance and effective stakeholder communication.
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and consultants.
