Purpose of the role: The role of the intern is to provide entry-level practical, hands-on experience to the Construct Design Studio and in turn get exposure to the world of design working with (but not limited to) Adobe Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design team to contribute to ongoing projects, gaining exposure to real-world design tasks.
  • Support in concept creation, development and refinement as directed.
  • Visualise mocked up branded assets for client presentations.
  • Communicate ideas to internal teams.
  • Actively participate in the creation of creative research, ideation, typographic craft, layout and technical skills.
  • Be involved in client presentation preparation as directed.
  • Assist members of the team with project related tasks as directed.
  • Contribute ideas and creative input during team brainstorming sessions, fostering a collaborative environment.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with mentors and senior designers to receive feedback on design work and make improvements.

Skills: Acquire proficiency in graphic design software tools and applications commonly used in the industry.

Administration: Adhere to filing protocol, weekly submission of timesheets and refer to the studio schedule to effectively plan workload and priorities. Maintain a tidy workspace and also support in keeping the studio tidy and organised.

This is a paid 3 month internship based in Bath.
