About Us: We are a creative agency with an emphasis on quality and craftsmanship. For over 20 years, we have collaborated with some of the most desirable heritage and contemporary brands, offering rebranding, brand creation, and strategic guardianship. Purpose of the role: The role of the intern is to provide entry-level practical, hands-on experience to the Construct Design Studio and in turn get exposure to the world of design working with (but not limited to) Adobe Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design team to contribute to ongoing projects, gaining exposure to real-world design tasks.
  • Support in concept creation, development and refinement as directed.
  • Visualise mocked up branded assets for client presentations.
  • Communicate ideas to internal teams.
  • Actively participate in the creation of creative research, ideation, typographic craft, layout and technical skills.
  • Be involved in client presentation preparation as directed.
  • Assist members of the team with project related tasks as directed.
  • Contribute ideas and creative input during team brainstorming sessions, fostering a collaborative environment.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with mentors and senior designers to receive feedback on design work and make improvements.

Skills: Acquire proficiency in graphic design software tools and applications commonly used in the industry.

Administration: Adhere to filing protocol, weekly submission of timesheets and refer to the studio schedule to effectively plan workload and priorities. Maintain a tidy workspace and also support in keeping the studio tidy and organised.

This is a paid 3 month internship.
