Constellation is currently recruiting experienced Sous Chefs for a range of casual and temporary assignments across Bristol and the surrounding areas. Opportunities are available within business industry sites, schools, care homes, healthcare settings, and contract catering operations, all delivered in line with Compass Group standards. These roles are ideal for chefs seeking flexible, predominantly weekday daytime work, with a mix of short-term bookings and ongoing placements.

The Role

  • Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
  • Deliver consistently high-quality food in line with Compass standards
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
  • Supervise and support kitchen teams during service
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, allergen management, hygiene, and Health Safety regulations

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef
  • Experience within business industry, schools, care homes, or contract catering environments (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of Compass Group standards
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different sites and teams
  • DBS certificate preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Level 2 Food Safety (minimum requirement)
  • Own transport preferable
