At the heart of our operation, our Kitchen porters are pivotal in contributing to the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences. We are looking for individuals who share our energy and passion and who embody a βcan-doβ mindset. Is this you?
Working Hours
Constellation optimises the working schedules of Compass employees, allowing you to work at over 5,000 venues across the UK on shifts that suit you. You will need to be able to work full-time, Monday to Friday. Hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, and Friday from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm. Black safety shoes are essential.
Main responsibilities include:
- Being polite, prompt, and friendly to all colleagues and guests.
- Communicating with the kitchen team and front of house colleagues to ensure smooth delivery.
- Ensuring all cutlery, crockery, and glassware are professionally cleaned before and after use, and ensuring all service areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe.
- Cleaning all cooking utensils as required by the culinary team during preparation and service times.
- Cleaning kitchen work areas during and after use and removing kitchen waste to the appropriate area.
- Assisting with the setup and cleanup of your area, ready for the next service.
- Maintaining exceptional standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Operating cleaning machinery as trained and shown, in accordance with company policy.
- Complying with all company and unit policies regarding health & safety, hygiene, manual handling, and COSHH.
- Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Enjoying your work, smiling, and having fun!
