Are you ready to bring your leadership skills to the heart of the action? We\’re looking for an experienced and motivated Retail Stand Manager to take charge of one of our busiest food & drink stands at Reading Football Club!
This is your chance to be part of the matchday buzz , leading a team to deliver top-notch service to thousands of hungry fans. If you thrive in a high-energy environment and know how to keep things running smoothly, we want you on our team.
Location: Select Car Leasing Stadium, RG2 0FL
Working Times: Approx. 4-6hours per shift, Saturday match days
Due to licensing laws and the sale of alcohol, all applicants must be 18+ years old.
As an integral member of the management team, you must be able to commit to the Reading FC home fixtures throughout the 2025/26 season: Reading FC | Men matches

What you\’ll be doing:
- Oversee the full operation of 2–4 food and/or bar kiosks within a busy retail stand on matchdays and event days.
- Lead and manage Kiosk Team Leaders and their teams to ensure smooth, efficient service throughout the day.
- Ensure all kiosks are fully set up and ready for service, including stock management, staff support, and task delegation.
- Deliver pre-event briefings and ensure all team members are trained and prepared for their roles.
- Drive high standards of customer service—fast, friendly, and efficient at every point of sale.
- Uphold and enforce strict food hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Manage cash and card transactions, and complete accurate end-of-day reports.
- Act as the main point of contact for your team and Kiosk Team Leaders, providing ongoing support and direction.
- Sign staff in and out of their designated areas and provide performance feedback where necessary.
- Ensure your stand is properly closed down and secured at the end of the shift.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven management experience in a bar, pub, restaurant, or busy hospitality setting
- A strong commitment to being available for the majority of matchdays throughout the football season
- Confident and proactive leadership style with a hands-on approach
- Calm and composed under pressure—especially during peak service times like halftime!
- Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Willingness to learn site-specific procedures through on-the-job training provided by the venue
