Kitchen Porter – Weekday Work Monday to Friday | 9:00am–2:30pm | Ongoing Opportunities We’re looking for reliable, hardworking and motivated Kitchen Porters to join our teams across a range of business and workplace catering locations across Reading and Bracknell . Locations KPMG – Reading, RG1 3AD – Onsite restaurant, dining and hospitality facilities TD SYNNEX – Bracknell, RG12 8FZ – Onsite restaurant and café facilities Virgin Media – Reading, RG2 6UU – Staff restaurant and dedicated barista coffee shop Fujitsu – Bracknell, RG12 8SN – Onsite canteen, restaurant and café facilities You’ll play an important role in supporting the kitchen and wider catering team, helping to ensure the operation runs smoothly and maintains excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Shifts are typically Monday to Friday, 9:00am–2:30pm but may vary depending on site. What You'll Be Doing Washing up pots, pans, crockery and kitchen equipment Keeping kitchen, washing-up and storage areas clean and tidy Supporting chefs and catering teams with general kitchen duties Ensuring equipment and work areas are cleaned to a high standard Emptying bins and maintaining waste areas Supporting with deliveries, stock movement and putting supplies away Assisting with basic food preparation when required Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety Following Food Safety, Health & Safety, COSHH and allergen procedures Working as part of a busy and professional catering team What We're Looking For Minimum 6 months' previous kitchen porter or catering experience A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness Ability to work effectively as part of a team Good communication skills Must have your own black safety shoes A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but not essential What We Offer Ongoing opportunities Excellent work-life balance – evenings and weekends free Competitive pay Full training and development opportunities Opportunity to work across 5,000 Compass venues throughout the UK Compass Exclusive Benefits Lifestyle Benefits through our Perks platform Health & Wellbeing Support, including access to our Employee Assistance Programe If you’re looking for regular weekday kitchen work with daytime hours and no weekend shifts , we’d love to hear from you!
