Constellation is hiring hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porters to be part of our team for the upcoming 2026/2027 racing season at the legendary Cheltenham Racecourse. Whether you have previous experience or are looking to gain experience in events, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s most iconic sporting venues.
You’ll have the opportunity to work across the season on the following major race days:
- The Showcase 2026 - Friday 23 October & Saturday 24 October 2026
- The November Meeting 2026 - Friday 13 November, Saturday 14 November & Sunday 15 November 2026
- The Christmas Meeting 2026 - Friday 11 December & Saturday 12 December 2026
- New Year's Day 2027 - Friday 1 January 2027
- Festival Trials Day 2027 - Saturday 30 January 2027
- The Festival 2027 - Tuesday 16 March – Friday 19 March 2027
- The April Meeting 2027 - Wednesday 14 April & Thursday 15 April 2027
- Race Night 2027 - Friday 30 April 2027
As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen and catering facilities. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation throughout the kitchen while assisting chefs and the wider catering team where required. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to all health & safety and hygiene standards.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, food preparation, and storage areas
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required
- Operate dishwashing machinery safely and efficiently
- Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed
- Replenish cleaning supplies and kitchen consumables
- Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods
- Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and COSHH regulations
- Assist with deliveries, stock movement, and storage procedures
- Keep floors, work surfaces, and equipment clean and sanitised at all times
