At the heart of our operation, our Kitchen Porters are pivotal in contributing to the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences. We are looking for individuals who share our energy and passion, who embody a ‘can-do’ mindset and wish to support our culinary team throughout a range of events, whether Football, NFL or our Concerts season.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Follow cleaning schedules to the exact standards and follow chemical COSHH information set by the Back of House Manager.
  • Ensuring all cutlery, crockery and glassware is professionally cleaned before and after use and ensure all service areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe.
  • Cleaning of all cooking utensils as required by the culinary team during the preparation (mis-en-place) and service times.
  • Comply with all company policies including Health Safety, Hygiene, Manual Handling and COSHH.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Communicate with the kitchen team and front of house colleagues to ensure smooth operational delivery.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Clean kitchen work areas during and after use and remove kitchen waste to the appropriate area.
  • Assist with the set up and clear down of your area, ready for the next service.
  • Operate cleaning machinery as shown and trained in accordance with company policy.
  • Be polite and courteous to all members of staff, clients, and the public.

General Day to Day Tasks:

  • Pot washing.
  • Glass crushing / Glass washing.
  • Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks.
  • Cleaning the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day.
  • Maintaining the food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators.
  • Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans or loading dishes into the dishwasher.
  • Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly.
  • Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment like cookers, pots and food mixers.

Working Hours:

Hours at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club will vary from event to event, with approximate shift lengths of 7/8 hours. If successful, there will be opportunities to work extra days in the week.

Candidate Specifications:

  • Basic Food Hygiene/level 2.
  • Eager to work in a busy working environment.
  • Excellent communication amongst all departments in the business.
  • Remain calm under pressure to ensure smooth delivery in service.
  • Be flexible and comply with any reasonable requests made by your line manager, including if necessary, working within other units of the venue.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service, by role modelling the Levy UK values and behaviours at all times to colleagues, customers, and clients.
