Do you have experience delivering outstanding service in a VIP or fine-dining environment? We are recruiting VIP Waiting Staff to provide a legendary dining experience for guests at Cheltenham Racecourse on race days. Join our team for The Cheltenham Festival, the most prestigious event in the jump-racing calendar.
Event Dates
- Tuesday 10th March – Champion Day
- Wednesday 11th March – Ladies Day
- Thursday 12th March – St Patrick’s Thursday
- Friday 13th March – Gold Cup Day
We have shifts available across event days and beyond. VIP staff will be required to attend training on Monday 9th March (12 - 4 pm).
Location
Applicants must be local to Gloucestershire or surrounding areas, ideally available to work the whole event or a minimum of 2 days.
The Role
VIP areas at Cheltenham Racecourse attract high-profile clientele. You will work in the venue’s most premium hospitality areas, delivering a 5-star service experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional table service in VIP and fine-dining environments
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Confidently serve food and drinks to guests
- Present, open, and pour wine and champagne to a high standard
- Answer menu questions and make informed recommendations
- Maintain professionalism and composure during busy service periods
Skills & Experience
- 18+ only
- Previous experience in VIP, fine-dining, or high-end hospitality
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confident with wine and champagne service
- Wine pairing knowledge desirable (full training provided)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure with a positive, can-do attitude
