Constellation is currently recruiting experienced Chef de Parties for a range of casual and temporary assignments across Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas. With opportunities across business industry sites, schools, care homes, healthcare settings, sport leisure venues, and contract catering operations, you’ll have the chance to work across different kitchens, teams and environments while building your experience and enjoying the flexibility of casual work.

The Role

As a Chef de Partie, you’ll play an important role in supporting the kitchen team and delivering high-quality food across a variety of catering environments. Depending on the venue, responsibilities may include:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting food to a consistently high standard
  • Working across different sections of the kitchen as required
  • Supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef during service
  • Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen organisation
  • Following recipes, menus and portion-control guidelines
  • Supporting stock rotation and minimising food waste
  • Ensuring full compliance with food safety, allergen management, hygiene and Health Safety regulations
  • Adapting quickly to different kitchens, menus and teams

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar chef role
  • A positive, reliable and professional approach
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different venues and kitchen teams
  • Good understanding of food safety and allergen procedures
  • Experience within contract catering, business industry, education, healthcare or leisure environments is desirable
  • Level 2 Food Safety (minimum requirement)
  • DBS certificate preferred for relevant assignments, or willingness to obtain one
  • Own transport preferable due to the variety of locations
